Terms & Conditions | Rapid5GS

These terms cover your use of rapid5gs.com and the Rapid5GS software, published by Centreville Tech, LLC in Centreville, Alabama. By using the site or the software, you’re agreeing to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use either.

The software is provided as-is, with no warranty

Rapid5GS is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3. As GPL v3 states, the program is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the software is with you.

Your network is your responsibility

Rapid5GS deploys and configures a mobile network core. What you do with it, and what happens on the network you build with it, is on you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Centreville Tech, LLC, the Rapid5GS contributors, and our sponsors and partners are not responsible or liable for anything that happens on or to your network through use of this software, including but not limited to:

You are the network operator. Test before you deploy, monitor what you run, and comply with the laws and regulations that apply to you, including FCC rules if you’re operating in the United States.

CBRS equipment and Certified Professional Installers

Much of the radio equipment discussed on this site operates in the CBRS band (3550–3700 MHz) under FCC Part 96. CBRS base stations (Category B CBSDs, and Category A devices in certain deployments) must be installed and registered by a Certified Professional Installer (CPI). Antenna height, azimuth, down-tilt, location, and transmit power must be accurately reported to a Spectrum Access System by a CPI for the installation to be compliant.

We do not warrant, guarantee, or take any responsibility for the proper physical installation, CPI registration, or SAS configuration of any equipment, whether you bought it from us, from The Edge Mile, or from anyone else. If you want your equipment installed properly by professionals who do this every day, hire Vertical Axis. They handle CBRS sector builds, SAS registration, antennas, and backhaul, and they know the Rapid5GS stack.

Website content

The content on this site is provided for general information. We work to keep it accurate, but we make no warranty that it is complete, current, or error-free, and it is not engineering, legal, or regulatory advice. Hardware pricing and availability mentioned here are handled by The Edge Mile under its own terms of sale.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Centreville Tech, LLC or the Rapid5GS contributors be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use this website or the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the software. For the open source version, that amount is zero.
