Privacy Policy | Rapid5GS
Last updated July 3, 2026
This policy covers rapid5gs.com, operated by Centreville Tech, LLC in Centreville, Alabama. The short version: this is a static informational site. There are no accounts, no signup forms, and we don’t collect personal information directly from you. We never sell your data.
What we collect
We don’t ask you for anything. There is nothing to type your name or email into on this site. The data that does exist comes from two places:
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our web server records standard access logs: IP address, browser user agent, pages requested, and timestamps. We use these for security and troubleshooting, and we don’t join them to any other data.
- Analytics, described below.
Analytics and webmaster tools
We use the following third-party services to understand how people find and use this site:
- Google Analytics (GA4). Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and reports usage data to Google, including approximate location, device and browser information, and the pages you visit. Google’s handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking the analytics script with any common content blocker. The site works fine without it.
- Google Search Console. We use Search Console to see aggregate data about how the site appears in Google Search (queries, impressions, clicks). This data comes from Google, not from your visit to this site, and is aggregate. It doesn’t identify you.
- Bing Webmaster Tools. Same idea, for Microsoft Bing: aggregate search performance data provided by Microsoft.
Cookies
The only cookies on this site are the ones Google Analytics sets (names beginning with _ga). We set no cookies of our own. Block or delete them freely; nothing breaks.
Links to other sites
This site links out to other sites we run (like The Edge Mile and ISP Hyperdrive) and to third parties (like GitHub, Open5GS, and Vertical Axis). Each of those has its own privacy policy, and this one stops applying the moment you click through.
The Rapid5GS software
To be clear: the open source version of Rapid5GS published on GitHub phones home to nobody. It’s GPL v3, the code is public, and you can audit that yourself. This policy is about the website only.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Email josh@theedgemile.com.
