# Rapid5GS > Rapid5GS is a free, open source (GPL v3) installer and management toolkit that turns a stock Ubuntu 24.04 LTS server into a production-ready Open5GS LTE/5G packet core (EPC/5GC) with one command. It was created by Josh Lambert, a WISP operator in Alabama, and is used to run real production fixed wireless networks.
